KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. --A Klamath Falls man has been sentenced to more than 4 years in prison for violating probation just two weeks after pleading guilty to selling meth near an elementary school.
Klamath County Circuit Court Judge Cameron Wogan sentenced Manuel Jerome Parks, 31, of Klamath Falls to 4 years and 5 months in prison for violating his probation.
Parks was put on probation on Sept. 23 after pleading guilty to selling methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a public elementary school. The probation officers’ report indicated that 14 days after being placed on probation, Parks was arrested by the Klamath Falls Police Department for possessing methamphetamine and being in possession of 2 double-bladed daggers. He also had a syringe in his possession.
Parks also was sentenced for two other crimes of Possession of Meth (related to the probation violation) and given 6 months in jail on each. They will be concurrent to the 53 months.
