Music fills the air this weekend, jazz music that is. The Annual Jazz Jubilee returns to the Rogue Valley. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday more than a dozen different bands will be playing throughout Medford, entertaining the crowds with a variety of music styles from Zydeco to Big Band to Swing and even some Jump Jive. A little something for everyone. Along with the more than 100 performances there will also be dance contests and free dance lessons.
During the week of the festival, children attending local grade and middle schools are treated to a performance from distinguished bands. An average of 15,000 students experience this american traditional musical style. The first performances start at 2 pm on Friday. Tickets range in price from an "All Weekend Pass" at $70 to youth passes starting at just $10. Children under 12 are free.
Alpacamania hits the Rogue Valley! That's right, alpacas are the focus this weekend at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.
