For many local kids, Labor Day Weekend means the end of their summer vacation, and the start of a brand new school year. Well, beat the first day of school blues this year at the Labor Day Festival at Jubilee Park in Cave Junction. The event is hosted every year by the Illinois Valley Lion's Club. This year activities include 'tuff truck' races, talent shows for all ages, and a parade that runs through downtown. The festival runs Saturday through Monday, with the booths and activities beginning at 10 AM each day.
In a highly anticipated performance music superstar Sheryl Crow headlines at the Lithia Motors Ampitheater this Friday night. The nine-time Grammy Award winning singer has earned such honors as "Best New Artist" and "Record of the Year." Opening for Crow is "16 Frames." Showtime is 7:30 PM.
And with just two Britt performances left, "Little Big Town" will be one of the last in the 2009 season.
